Harvard vs French Grandes Ecoles

Harvard vs French Grandes Ecoles

On 2nd June 2012, the Harvard Polo Team will for the second time meet a team of alumni of French Grandes Ecoles in a test match to be held at the Polo Club de Chantilly, ahead of Harvard’s planned confrontation with Oxford, Cambridge and Yale in June.

The Harvard Polo Club builds on a tradition of polo dating back to the early 20th century. The team, reestablished in 2006, currently has 18 members and practices regularly in Hamilton, Massachusetts (25 miles north of Boston).

The event will take place in the superb surroundings of the Domaine de Chantilly which will also feature on the same date 12-goals polo matches (highest level played in France in the spring).

Players will play in aid of the Harvard Therapeutic Riding Initiative which helps children with mental or physical disabilities overcome their difficulties by promoting contacts with horses.

Admission to the fields and stands is free.

The match will start at 6:00p.m.
