Bin Drai wins and makes it’s way to the semifinals 

Quarterfinal matches set for the Julius Baer Gold Cup 2018

 

In another exciting double action day at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, Bin Drai qualified to the semifinals of the Julius Baer Gold Cup 2018 while Habtoor and Mahra joined Zedan and Wolves in the quarterfinal round to be held next friday.

 

In today’s matches, Bin Drai defeated Mahra by 9 goals to 6 after a great team performance and Habtoor won his match against Desert Palm by 7 goals to 6 in a very contested game.

 

Bin Drai Polo proved once more that is a very serious foursome and a tough opponent and with today’s victory against Mahra qualified directly to the semifinals where they join Abu Dhabi.

In the second match of the day, Habtoor Polo achieved a decisive victory against Desert Palm in a very close game. They played knowing that the winner will be in the quarterfinal round and both teams fought hard during the five chukkers for the big prize.

 

A great individual action by Francisco Elizalde, with one minute to go, gave Habtoor Polo the victory and the ticket to the next round of the Julius Baer Gold Cup 2018.

The Julius Baer Gold Cup 2018 will return next Friday to the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club with the Quarterfinal matches for the Julius Baer Gold Cup. Zedan Polo will play against Habtoor from 2 pm followed by Wolves against Mahra from 4 pm.
