Kazak-Outsiders win 123° Open de Paris

The 123rd Open de Paris finished on Sunday after a great final where a fully French team claimed the title. Kazak-Outsiders, with professionals Clement Delfosse and Patrick Paillol, and patrons Sébastien Aguettant and Nicolas Desjouis, were named champions of the tournament after winning the final 7-6.

They faced defending champions Costa Rica, who won the penalty shootout in the morning against Sainte Mesme and La Concepcion. The competition saw three very intense weekends, with lots of polo. Six teams that gave their best and fought for the title at one of the most exclusive polo venues in the world: Bagatelle. The final also offered a great event and lunch for special guests at the Polo de Paris restaurant, which looks on to the polo field.

Costa Rica had a great start with a 2-0 advantage after a goal by Felipe Gomez from far. But Kazak-Outsiders grew and tied the game 3-all after a good chukka. Later, Antonio Gómez tied the match 4-all. Costa Rica managed to gain an advantage but Kazak-Outsiders proved too much for them.

BPP: Viento Norte, played by Clément Delfosse.
MVP: Patrick Paillol.
