Sheikh Falah bin Zayed approves GRPC’s Activities 2015-2016 Agenda 

 

 

H.H. Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, approved the 2015-2016 Ghantoot Activities program, which includes many domestic and international events starting on the 16th of October 2015 and coming to a close on the 9th of April 2016.

 

After having a successful season that was supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council as well as numerous national institutions and companies, the renounced club re-initiates its season once more this October. Starting off with humanitarian events, the club opens its season with the Emirates Autism Charity Polo Match which falls on October the 16th of this year, which is then followed by the Emirates Red Crescent Charity Polo match, which is to take place on the 30th of October, 2015.

 

On the 6th of  November, the club is to witness a special tournament, the ADCB Pink Polo tournament, which has previously seen great success after Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank team to victory over their rivals, the Maserati team, by 6-4.

 

Adding to their charitable events, Al Amal Polo Day is scheduled to take place on the 20th of November, 2015; an event held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, that dedicates its proceedings to Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation.

 

December will be more active with loads of excitement, for it is the period when the annual UAE National Day Polo Exhibition Game takes place to celebrate the dear occasion, which is then followed by the official opening tournament of the 15th edition Emirates International Open Polo Championships scheduled to take place between the 6th and the 18th of December.

 

Adding to the excitement, 2016 will see the 16th edition of HH President of UAE Polo Cup where title winners, Desert Palm team, seek to keep their championship position for the third consecutive year in a row. The event launches on the 5th of Jan and ends on the 15th 2016.

The period from 17 to 20 of February 2016, GRPC will be hosting the President of UAE showjumping event, followed by Dubai’s Polo Gold cup from the 22nd of Feb ending on March 11th. On the 26th and 27th of February, GRPC will host the Ghantoot Showjumping Silver Cup.

 

March 2016 eyes the Ghantoot Showjumping Golden Cup, which is carried out for two days starting on the 10th to the 12th, then after the British Polo Day is scheduled to commence on the 19th which is hosted by the guidance and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, GRPC Chairman, hosting participations from more than 10 countries.

 

The Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club, according to the approved agenda, will end the 2015-2016 season with the National Weekly Showjumping event which falls on Friday the 8th of April and ends the following day. The club has announced that it will be holding a number of conferences to reveal further details concerning the launched activities and the main sponsors of the events.
