27th St Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow – Day 1
In the first game of the day, under glorious sunshine, France defeated Germany 5-3 in the opening game of the Polo World Cup on Snow. There was fast paced polo from the start but it was France who set the pace leaving Germany to try and catch up throughout.
Although Great Britain were looking like they were going to run out the eventual winners during the first half of the second game of the day, steaming ahead of the Swiss, Philipp Maeder and his Switzerland team turned the game around in the second half going on to win 10-9.
