The Perfect Polo Match in Paris

The first “perfect polo match” was played in Paris on June 18th. The game was considered “perfect” because it saw two 40 goal teams compete against each other, a first in Europe.  The match took place at Bagatelle Polo Club in Paris. Ten of the eleven Argentine ten-goal players took part. The only absentee was Adolfo Cambiaso.


The event sponsored by Hublot watches, saw 2, 400 spectators treated to a thrilling game that ended with Granaderos beating Patricios 11 – 10. Facundo Pieres won the La Martina Most Valuable Player Award.

Granaderos: Facundo Pieres, Pablo MacDonough, Miguel Novillo Astrada, Lolo Castagnola (Lucas Monteverde was substitute)


Patricios: Augustin Merlos, Juan Martin Nero, Mariano Aguerre, Marcos Heguy (Gonzalito Pieres was substitute)
