Prowess. Speed. Passion. Gladiatorial. The All England Polo Club (AEPC), Hickstead, now in its sixth season, has been the scene of many of the most thrilling and memorable exhibitions of arena polo, and all at its Sussex venue… steeped in equestrian history and tradition.
On Sunday 18th December 2011, AEPC Hickstead once again plays host to one of the most zealously fought winter polo tournaments in the arena calendar… The Seico Polo Cup… and this year with a festive twist! Hickstead have formed partnership with Hove based charity, The Edward Starr Charitable Trust, who, together with the renowned children’s entertainers, ‘We are Children’s Parties,’ have combined to throw the best children’s Christmas party of the year!
Everyone is invited to come along to Hickstead’s polo club, where the youngsters can enjoy all the festive fun of the party whilst their parents join the Hickstead and Edward Starr Trust personnel for mulled wine and warm mince pies from the comfort of the polo clubhouse… the perfect means through which to wile away a winter’s Sunday afternoon. The very best of the arena polo sporting action will be on display as the finals matches of the Seico Polo Cup unfold. With spectacular panoramic views of the arena from the club’s tiered viewing galleries, the live commentary shall ensure spectators and guests remain ofay with the play-by-play polo.
Highlights of the Edward Starr Trust Christmas Party include face painting, balloon modelling, Christmas themed characters, dancing and party games. At 3pm Santa Claus and his elves will be paying visit to the club to meet the children and with a special Christmas party bag for each of them to take home.
