The Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club Show Christmas Cup
Friday the 23rd of December the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club “decked the halls with boughs of holly” and brought lots of Christmas cheer to The Regis Brunch.
Guests witnessed a match between The Red Elves Polo Team (Tariq Al Habtoor 0, Raja Abuljebain 0, Alejandro Gowland 3, Daniel Gariador 2) VS The Green Elves Polo Team (Mohameed Al Habtoor 0, Habtoor Al Habtoor 0, Santiago Gomez Romero 3, Justo Cuitino 3).
VIP guest, American rapper, Flo Rida had the honour of doing the first throw-in to commence the game.
The match started with The Green Elves scoring and opening up the scoreboard and they continued in the lead throughout the game. By halftime the gap was 5-1 and at the end of the 5th chukker the Green Elves won 7-1 over the Red Elves.
The trophy ceremony was led by Flo Rida and Zinedine Zidane, world-famous football player and now manager of the Real Madrid Football team.
Mohammed Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club said: “It is fun to put on a “Christmas” show, the costumes were a fun idea, but not a practical one, they were too hot! It was a pleasure having my friend Flo Rida visit us once more and also a great pleasure and honour to see Zenadine Zidane at our polo club.”
