15th Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel 2017
A new era begins
Team play, dynamics and fast-paced top sport in front of the glittering winter backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser mountains – the 15th Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel will take place from 12-15 January 2017. The tournament and polo will also enter a new era in 2017.
It is still a good five months until the Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup but the preparations for the traditional tournament are already well underway. It has just been confirmed that the collaboration with Valartis Bank will continue. Event organiser Tito Gaudenzi: “It is with great pleasure that we announce that we have extended our partnership with Valartis Bank AG by several years. Together with the Kitzbühel Tourism Association and our
other loyal partners, we can now stage the tournament for the 15th time and for years to come.” In Elmar Balster, Lifestyle Events GmbH now has a new managing director who will manage its European operations. Tito Gaudenzi continues: “I’m already really looking forward to welcoming you all again in January.”
The event programme will begin on Thursday 12 January 2017 with the teams marching into Kitzbühel town centre to the Hotel Zur Tenne. There, the teams will be presented to fans and the press. From Friday 13 January 2017 to Sunday 15 January 2017, the action-packed games will begin on the Münichauer Wiese in Reith near Kitzbühel every morning. All guests and locals are invited to come along to the free event to find out more about the sport. The social high point in 2017 will once again be the Saturday VIP Party (“Polo Players’ Night”) in an elegant tent on the polo pitch. VIP tickets for the match days and VIP evening are available at the venue (tickets@kitzbuehelpolo.com). There is already great interest on the part of teams and players and the first registrations have already been received.

In 2017, polo in Kitzbühel will enter a new era. With the 15th edition of the Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup, the event organisers want to take the event to a new level and ensure that its international profile continues to grow. The VIP tent will be bigger and the party more glamorous. A polo club is currently being set up in Kitzbühel and there are also plans to host a polo tournament in summer too. Kitzbühel has much to look forward to when it comes to polo.
