In the first Final of the Medium Goal on Thursday, Petrus Fernandini’s Leones team, with great play by Ricky Trujillo (3), Guillermo Li (5) and Ignacio Domecq (3), beat Roger Carlsson’s FCT (Mario Gomez, 4, Michel del Carril, 7 and Sebastian Hancock 1) 12-9 to win the Bronze Cup in the Medium Goal league.

Bronze Cup – High Goal

Yesterday in the Bronze Cup High Goal Final the dynamic duo of Cambiaso and Cavanagh who helped Dubai to a win over newcomers King Power only twelve days again in the Verve Clicquot Gold Cup at Cowdray headed for goalposts at opposite ends of the pitch, for their first meeting since their match on Lawns 2 at Cowdray, as Ayala (Inigo Zobel, 1; Diego Cavanagh, 7; David Stirling, 10; Santiago Stirling 4) played against Valiente (Robert Jornayvaz, 1; Santiago Laborde, 5; Adolfo Cambiaso, 10; Santiago Torres, 6) at 18.45 (Spanish time). Winners of the Bronze Cup (High Goal) by 4 goals were Valiente beating Ayala 11-7, with Bob Jornayvaz being awarded the President’s Cup and being named MVP amateur player.
The Silver Cup High Goal games will start tomorrow, Sunday 3rd August at 5.30pm when King Power with a few changes to their Verve Clicquot Gold Cup lineup (Top Srivaddhannaprabha, Alejandro Muzzio, Marcos Di Paola and Martin Espain) hit the fields of Sotogrande taking on Dos Lunas Espiritu Santo (Luis Domecq, Pascual S. de Vicuña, Agustin Grossi and Martin Iturraspe). Following this at 7pm, Las Monjitas (Camilo Bautista, Tomas F. Llorente, Eduardo Novillo Astrada and Alejandro Novillo Astrada) are playing Halcyon Gallery (Charlie Hanbury, Juan Chavanne, Guillermo Terrera and Max Routledge); whilst on LP I, Valiente (Bob Jornayvaz, Santiago Laborde, Adolfo Cambiaso and Santiago Torres) taking on Murus Sanctus (Corinne Ricard, Lucas James, Jaime G. Huidobro and Malcom Borwick) looking for another high goal win.

12:15 Bayswater 4 v 8 Huntsman, PH II
So this means going into Sunday’s Low Goal Bronze Cup Final at 11.30am will be Silex v Huntsman, PH1.
