It was another double header at Cowdray Park Polo Club on Friday 28th June.
Match 1
First up Noor Khadra’s Green Gates took an incredible win over Corinne Ricard’s La Dolfina Murus Sanctus side and it was a rare league round loss for Adolfo Cambiaso. It was a tightly contested match with each side going goal for goal throughout and remaining even up to halftime. When Cambiaso’s side edged out in front in the fourth chukka though, it’s clear that the Green Gates boys decided enough was enough. They came out all guns blazing in the 5th to slot home 5 goals and take a 2 goal lead going into the all important final chukka. Despite 9 fouls given away throughout the game, Green Gates managed to press home their advantage and seal the win with Elizalde performing magic with the ball supported well by his three teammates who did an effective job of neutralising the Cambiaso powerhouse.

Match 2
The second match of the day saw another new to the 2024 high goal roster team in Valhalla and what a show they put on to get their names out there. Justin MacRae’s side proved their fighting attitude when having been behind throughout, just unable to catch the practiced and experienced Dubai side, they pulled it back in the final chukka to equalise and then win 10-9. Keeping the Cowdray crowds on the edge of their car boots it was  last minute save from overtime.
