Severn, Hine, Banner-Eve, and Hyde for the Golden Jubilee

With just days to go until they go head-to-head on the field at Beaufort International, the teams for the Golden Jubilee can be revealed.

Tommy Severn (5) will captain the England team, playing alongside long-time teammate Louis Hine (5), joined by Ed Banner-Eve (5) and Alfie Hyde (3). Tommy and Louis led an outstanding charge together to defeat Young Argentina on International Day in 2024 to win the Whitbread Trophy in the closing seconds (pictured top), and will be keen to replicate that success here against a strong American side.

It’s brothers to the fore for Team USA, as Nico Escobar (6) and Lucas Escobar (6) team up with Mackenzie Weisz (6) and Hunter Azzaro (0) for the opposing side. Captain Mackenzie Weisz is a winner of all major US Polo tournaments; the CV Whitney Cup, the Gold Cup, and the US Open, while the Escobar brothers were runners up at the FIP World Championships on home soil in 2022 and are based at Kirtlington this season.

For the second game of the day, Young England – captained by Toby Bradshaw (3) with George Copcutt (1)Robbie Slatter (1), and Will Millard (2) – will face the Young USA side as Lucas Escobar (6) and Hunter Azzaro (0) saddle up again, this time joined by Lily Lecquerica (1) and Finn Secunda (1) in the battle for the Buckmaster Trophy.

Both matches will be livestreamed on HPA TV – no sign up required for international matches!
