On Friday 9/12, the AAP 2025 Triple Crown made its official presentation at the Espacio Galicia inside the Argentine Polo Field in Palermo, kicking off the three tournaments that bring together the best polo in the world, in a formal opening event for players and special guests.
The three tournaments – the 132nd Argentine Polo Galicia Open, the 85th Tortugas Open and the 132nd Hurlingham Club Open – unique on the planet, will have among their protagonists the seven players with the highest value in polo – the 10-goal handicap.

The event was attended by several players who will participate in the tournaments, including “Poroto” Cambiaso, Facundo Pieres, Cruz and Antonio Heguy, Tomás and Benjamín Panelo, “Lukín” Monteverde, “Torito” Ruiz Jorba, “Toly” Ulloa and Paco de Nárvaez, the 17-year-old who will have his first participation in the Argentine Polo Open Galicia.
Also part of the members of the new Board of Directors of the AAP, chaired by Benjamín Araya; and its CEO, Fernando Cirilli.
Fernando Kelly, president of the Hurlingham Club; Jorge Anzorreguy, owner of the Tortugas Country Club; and important authorities of the accompanying companies, including Cristhian Vidal, from the Agro Sector of Banco Galicia.
Then the draws for the tournament for the Pilar Municipality Cup were held; and the contest for the Remonta and Veterinary Cups, which will give two places to Palermo (there were also protagonists of those tournaments present, such as Antonio Aguerre, “Gringo” Colombres, Pedro Zacharias, Santiago Loza and Facundo Llosa).
Finally, emphasis was placed on the Triple Crown and the long-awaited draw for the zones of the 132nd Argentine Polo Galicia Open was made, while then groups A and B of the remaining two tournaments were confirmed: the Hurlingham Open and the Tortugas Open. Helping the presenters, Agustina Gallastegui and Gustavo Sgalla, the beloved and multi-champion Héctor “Cacho” Merlos was part of the draw.
After the raffles were over, the more than 250 guests were able to enjoy a cocktail with the players, leaders and sponsors.
