U.S. Polo Assn., Pacific Coast Open
Congratulations to Klentner Ranch on their fourth title in the U.S. Polo Assn., Pacific Coast Open! A picture perfect Southern California day paired with a sold out crowd delivered the excitement for a strong matchup between defending champions La Karina and Klentner Ranch.
A dominant offensive performance by the team in blue sealed the deal for another historic season by claiming the victory in two of the three 16 goal series tournaments! Nachi Viana was the star player of the day, scoring twelve of the sixteen goals for his team to propel Klentner Ranch forward, rightfully earning him the MVP of the PCO Final. Jesse Bray brought the horse power with Dolfina Cautivadora with a huge coast to coast run, earning the mare the BPP of the day.
High Goal Season Awards were also presented this weekend to honor the dedication and talent of the teams that played this season.
The Groom of the Year award was presented to Carlos Leiva, groom to Facundo Obregon. The Molly Quigley Award for Best String of Horses was awarded toPipe Vercellino. Finally, the Robert Skene Season MVP award was given to Nachi Viana.

On Friday, August 28th, two semifinals matchups were played to decide the two teams vying for a place in the PCO Final. The first game of the day welcomed Mrs Momma Bear and La Karina to Field 3. La Karina battled all the way through and narrowly edged Mrs Momma Bear out witha one goal defeat, sending the defending champions back to the final.
The second game of the day showcased Klentner Ranch and Zahedi Chogan, a repeat the semifinal match up from the Silver Cup. Zahedi Chogan was looking for redemption, but Klentner Ranch took a stronghold and claimed the victory with a 12-1 1 score to continue through to the big game on Sunday afternoon.
Rincon League
The finale of the Rincon League concluded this week with the Jackson Hole Horse Emporium USPA Dean Mullins Congressional Cup. A to Z and FMB/Folded Hills met on Field 1 in front of an energetic crowd. A tight game through all six chukkers, the two teams were giving it their all to close out a very competitive season of 8 goal polo. Iñaki Wulff turned on the afterburners in the sixth chukker to aid his team in the 12-9 victory of the Dean Mullins Cup, scoring 9 goals for his FMB/Folded Hills team! The MVP was rightfully awarded to Iñaki Wulff and BPP was
awarded to Plateada, owned and played by Santi Wulff
