LA NATIVIDAD LA DOLFINA WINS ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE 61ST JOCKEY CLUB OPEN COPA

The 61st Jockey Club Open Copa Eminent got underway this Tuesday at the
Jockey Club in San Isidro, as La Natividad La Dolfina defeated Don Ercole 15–10 on field number 5.
Five teams ranging from 28 to 34 goals are contesting the tournament, which brings together some of the finest players in
the world, among them brothers Bartolomé and Camilo Castagnola, Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso, Hilario Ulloa and Juan Martín Nero, alongside a roster of leading international figures.
La Natividad La Dolfina dictated the terms from the outset, fielding three players who have twice lifted this title together—brothers Bartolomé and Camilo Castagnola, and their cousin Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso. Joined on this
occasion by Bartolomé Castagnola Sr., a four-time Jockey Club Open champion, they opened up an early lead,kept it within reach throughout, and then pulled clear over the final two chukkers to seal a decisive 15–10.
Matches are contested over 6 chukkers in open format, unlike the final, which is played over 7.
