San Isidro, September 13, 2026 – Two matches were played this Sunday at the Jockey Club in San Isidro as part of the 61st Jockey Club Open for the Eminent Cup. Although originally scheduled for Saturday, adverse weather conditions forced the day’s play to be postponed to Sunday. Consequently, victories for La Fe and Las Monjitas over Don Ercole and La Irenita, respectively, earned both winning teams a spot in Wednesday’s semifinals.
Following the conclusion of the qualifying stage, a three-way tie for second place emerged among La Fe, Las Monjitas, and La Irenita, requiring a penalty shootout to determine the final standings. After the shootout, La Fe claimed second place, followed by La Irenita in third, and Las Monjitas in fourth. Meanwhile, first place belonged to La Natividad La Dolfina, who had won both of their matches.
The 61st Jockey Club Open Copa Eminent is organized by the Jockey Club de Buenos Aires together with Minuto Siete, and marketed by Puken.
