Continuing the first day of semifinals of the 133rd Hurlingham Club Open, in which the traditional Ayrshire Cup and the Drysdale Subsidiary are at stake, on Friday 25/9 on field 2 of the Alfredo Lalor Headquarters that the AAP owns in Pilar, the defending champion of the 2025 Triple Crown, La Natividad La Dolfina , beat Las Monjitas by 22 to 10 and qualified for the grand final of the tournament, which will take place on field 1 of the Hurlingham Club on Saturday 3/10.
With an unstoppable “Poroto” Cambiaso, author of 14 goals in the game and currently the tournament’s top scorer with 23, La Natividad La Dolfina organized themselves after 3 even chukkers and took a big lead against the team of “Pelón” Stirling and “Juanma” Nero to secure their place in the grand final of the tournament.
It was a match with a large number of fouls and set-piece goals (53% of those scored were from penalties or corners) and the most curious fact is that Adolfo Cambiaso , the all-time top scorer of the Palermo Open, was the only one of the eight polo players in the match who did not score any goals.
