Argentina Aims for the finals

In the first match of the day, Argentina vs. Spain, Jaime Serra replaced Tonete Ayesa for the European team. Spain started off great, in fact they scored the first goal of the match, while they already counted with one and a half goal of advantage due to handicap difference.

 

Unfortunately, Argentina stepped it up and controlled the match after the first chukka. The South American team took some minutes to adjust, but in the end they were able to absolutely dominate the match. The game ended in 12-2, undoubtedly, the South American team has great chances of winning its zone.

Argentina: Lucio Fernandez Ocampo (2), Hector Hernando Guerrero (5), Valentin Novillo Astrada (5), Tomás Panelo (3)

Later on, the locals met team USA. It was a very long match, of almost two hours of duration. The game was very even for both games, but the Americans were slightly superior. In spite of a few minor accidents, the game carried out without any inconveniences. In the end USA beat Australia by 7-5.

 

“There’s always things you can do better, you can not miss so many backshots, turn quicker, get more balls… We’ll watch the tape and point the mistakes to keep improving. It is always good to win, It’s something important that we have been working on, we couldn’t do it with Argentina.
