Hermès- Sir Pratap Singh Polo Cup


The “Hermès- Sir Pratap Singh Polo Cup” saw its exciting final on 7th November at the Jaipur Polo Grounds.


Established in 1837 as a saddle-maker, Hermès is very pleased to support Polo in India, where this gentleman’s sport has its roots. Polo, blending horses, elegance, sportsmanship, tradition, speed and anticipation is a new, but natural venture for Hermès in India. The “Hermès-Sir Pratap Singh Polo Cup” was a 14 goal tournament, the second highest level of Polo in India. 


The event started with a spectacular performance by the French Hunting Trump in attendance which had been brought in especially from France by Hermes. This performance was followed by an exhibition match, Piper Band, Ball roll-in and the Final match.


The end of the final match was succeeded by Trick riding and presentation of prizes where Hermes awarded the players for the zeal with which they played. 

 

Mr. Pradeep Rao was the commentator of the game who is an ex Polo Player and ex selector of the APRC. 

 

The final played between CAVALRY-USPA and JINDAL-SAGHAL was a very exciting game which ended with the victory of CAVALRY-USPA 10-9 in extra time.


At the end of the spectacular afternoon there was the High Tea.

 

The Hermes-Sir Pratap Singh Final saw the who’s who from every walk of life.
