La Aguada Guards Polo Cup 2012
The second La Aguada Guards 18 goal tournament featured patrons from Guards and Cowdray Park. Representing Guards were title holders, Stefan Sund’s Lost Boys, and also Vivek Rawal’s Tashan Polo. Cowdray representatives were James Scott Hopkins’ Irongate and Leonora de Ferranti’s Ziani
Wins by Lost Boys and Tashan Polo against Irongate and Ziani in the qualifiers, respectively, secured them a place in the tournament’s final. Irongate and Ziani played for the Subsidiary,which was won by Ziani by a 12-11 score.
Tashan Polo and Lost Boys played a very balanced final, with Stefan Sund’s team scoring many goals in the first half. Tashan’s midfield of Alejandro Novillo Astrada and Will Emerson slowly got control of the game to get closer in the score, until reaching a 11-11 tie by the time the first bell sounded. Then, Alejandro Novillo Astrada hit the shot of the game 150 yards and Vivek Rawal run to the goalposts to score the goal that secured Tashan Polo a breathtaking 12-11 win.

Irongate: James Scott Hopkins 0, Juan Pedro Harriet 4, Santiago Irastorza 4, Javier Novillo Astrada 9. Total: 17
