Audi Falls to Orchard Hill, 11-9

Audi suffered its first loss of the season in an 11-9 game with Orchard Hill (1-2) in USPA Piaget gold Cup play Sunday afternoon with 10-goaler Pablo MacDonough leading all scorers with eight goals.
After a 1-1 first chukker, Audi ran off to a 3-1 lead in the second chukker with Orchard Hill coming back to knot it up at 4-4 at halftime.
“We played hard in the first half,” said Gonzalito Pieres. “In the second half we eased up and saved the horses. We knew we were already in the semifinals.
Facundo Pieres scored four goals for Audi. Team patron Marc Ganzi added three, and Gonzalito and Nicolas Pieres added single goals in the loss.
MacDonough scored six of his eight goals in the second half when Orchard Hill outscored Audi 7-5.
Audi (2-1) will move into semifinal play on Wednesday against Black Watch (2-1).
