Brooke Raises over $2,400 at Cowdray Park Polo Club with Mini HorsesLa Indiana Polo Star and Brooke USA Ambassador Nic Roldan Raises Awareness and Funds During Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup Final |
On Sunday, July 17, 2016, Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys met an array of guests at their stand at Cowdray Park Polo Club, including four mini horses dressed in orange Brooke blankets. La Indiana polo star and Brooke USA ambassador Nic Roldan was a major supporter of the charity at the event. Roldan sported the Brooke logo on his whites during the heated Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup Final where La Indiana went neck to neck against British Open Championship title holders, the King Power Foxes, and it was Roldan who orchestrated the mini horses for the championship final. Brooke, based in the United Kingdom, but working globally, was the charity beneficiary for the 2016 Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup.
Brooke had a stand at the event with experts talking about how they improve the lives of thousands of working equines each year, as well as offering the opportunity to have a go on their mechanical horse. A spokesperson for Brooke said: “Thanks goes out to Nic, Tikki Adorian of Toy Horse International who provided the mini horses, and everyone who visited our stand and gave us donations. We raised over $2,400 that will help us with our vital work to protect and improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules which give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty. “A special thanks goes to the Hon Lila Pearson, Vice President of Cowdray Park Polo club, who made it possible for us to attend the Gold Cup final.” Roldan stated, “I’m so proud to work with Brooke. It is ultimately my love for equines that drives me, and it is my sincerest hope that we can raise awareness and funds to improve the lives of working equines globally.” More than 100 million of these animals support the lives of 600 million people in the developing world. Brooke is a global charity working with owners, communities, governments and international organizations to make lasting improvements to animal welfare.
