Two Days Away! Polo Teams Revealed and Incredible Items Set for Auction at Nic Roldan’s 3rd Annual Sunset Polo & White Party

The countdown to Nic Roldan’s 3rd Annual Sunset Polo & White Party has officially begun! On Friday, March 23, the event of the season will kick-off at 5:30 p.m. at the Wanderers Club in Wellington, Florida. Hosted by Mark and Katherine Bellissimo, this year’s event will feature fabulous auction items, with all proceeds going to Brooke USA.

For the first time in the history of the event, beginning at 6 p.m., three teams, sponsored by Provident Jewelry, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Brooke USA, will face-off during a six-chukker game in a round robin format. Featuring a mixture of professional and young polo athletes hand-picked by Nic Roldan, the overall event winner will be based on scores. Team Provident Jewelry: Anthony Calle (3), Henry Porter (2), Martin Pepa (4) and Brandon Phillips (5).

Team Tito’s Handmade Vodka: Matt Bellissimo (0), Grant Ganzi (2), Kris Kampsen (6) and Nic Roldan (8).

Team Brooke USA: Antonio Aguerre (age 10), Poroto Cambiaso (1), Justin Daniels (2) and Nico Pieres (8).

The evening’s auctions will be led by celebrity emcee and auctioneer Ron Magill.

Magill is Zoo Miami’s goodwill ambassador and has made television appearances on many programs such as National Geographic Explorer, The Today Show, Good Morning America, the Late Show, CBS This Morning, Dateline NBC and on networks such as CNN and the Discovery Channel. He is an award-winning photographer with his work appearing in publications and galleries around the world. Magill has traveled extensively throughout Africa, India and the tropical Americas, while developing and directing conservation projects and Emmy Award-winning documentaries focusing on the wildlife of those regions.

At the conclusion of the final polo match, the custom jerseys from each team, donated by Polo Gear USA, will be auctioned off to one lucky bidder before the competitive live auction gets underway featuring the following items:

Exclusive Equestrian Jewelry Donated by Provident Jewelry ($3,660 value)

Provident Jewelry not only is sponsoring one of the polo teams for the event, but has also donated two exceptional jewelry pieces including a Roberto Coin diamond stirrup pendant necklace and a Gucci horse bit statement ring. The necklace is an 18-karat white gold pendant delicately hung on a link chain featuring 0.30 total diamond carat weight, while the ring, a staple of Gucci’s history, features a horse bit motif with a lavish 18-karat yellow gold bypass design that gracefully twists around your finger.

Following the live auction will be the annual “Bid for a Cause,” where guests will have the opportunity to help raise funds for mobile equine care centers that travel across India to 68 remote communities. $85,000 is needed to support Brooke USA’s efforts in this project.

The silent auction will begin at the start of the event at 5:30 p.m. and will close at 9 p.m. Some of the extraordinary items up for grabs are an original painting by Sylvain Copon(valued at $15,000), an embroidered dress donated by Michelle Farmer Collaborate (valued at $1,125), a custom oxer donated by Infinity Jumps (valued at $2,000) and training sessions, ranging from riding to groundwork lessons, with Brooke USA advocates and ambassadors: Allison Brock, J.J. Tate, Kasey Perry-Glass, Debbie McDonald, Allison Springer, Sinead Halpin and Tik Maynard.

Two lessons with Olympic dressage rider and Pan American Games gold medalist Cesar Parra and the opportunity for two to school over the Windurra cross-country course at Boyd and Silva Martin’s farm in Pennsylvania will also be available to bid on during Friday’s silent auction.

In addition, there will also be a separate travel auction, generously provided by AmFund! Eight luxury experiences to various spectacular destinations around the world will be auctioned off during the event on Friday to benefit Brooke USA’s equine welfare programs.
