Why Not beat Tacuaras by a 5-4 score and took the La Aguada Ladies Cup, in the final matchday of the ladies competition that was played on Sunday April 15, at La Aguada Polo Club, in Open Door, Argentina. 

 

Why Not took and early advantage during the first half, but Las Tacuaras tied at 3-all in the third chukka. However, Why Not managed to handle Las Tacuaras’ pressure, and by the end of the day they claimed their third consecutive win to finish the competition undefeated.

The second place went to La Aguada, following their 6-4 victory over La Cañada. The winners dominated the match and the scoreboard during three chukkas, but La Cañada made a comeback in the last period – they produced three unanswered goals to close the gap to 4-5. La Aguada maintained the lead and scored a last minute goal to secure the win. 

 

Score La Aguada: 4-0, 4-0, 5-1, 6-4

 

La Aguada’s Milagros Sanchez took MVP honors and Las Tacuaras’ Ali Rohm was presented with the Fair Play Award. 

 

The tournament showcased four teams up to 14 goals (ladies handicap).
