Argentine Handicaps

After the great polo season of the Triple Crown, in which La Natividad was champion of the 131st HSBC Argentine Polo Open and the 131st Hurlingham Club Open presented by Triumph –La Hache P. T. won the 84th Tortugas Open, the handicap modifications were made, in which the most important is the 10 to 9 drop of the Uruguayan David Stirling (h). just on the day that his retirement from the Triple Crown was known.

Among the most important increases, from 8 to 9, Cruz Heguy and Lucas Monteverde (n) were promoted; from 7 to 8, Antonio Heguy, Benjamín Panelo, Facundo Llosa, Gonzalo Ferrari, Isidro Strada and Mariano González (h); and from 6 to 7, Beltrán Laulhé, Lorenzo Chavanne, Félix Esaín, Javier Guerrero (h), Jesse Bray, Joaquín Panelo, Paco de Narváez and Ricardo Garrós.

For its part, in addition to that of “Pelón” Stirling, among the most significant casualties are those of Alfredo Bigatti and Juan Britos (h), with a handicap of 9 to 8 goals; those of Cristian Laprida (h), Facundo Fernández Llorente, Ignacio Novillo Astrada, Jacinto Crotto, Juan Ruiz Guiñazú (h), Martín Podestá (h) and Tomás Fernández Llorente (h) from 8 to 7; and those of Bautista García, Facundo Obregón, Juan A. García Grossi, Mariano Aguerre, Matías Magrini and Sebastián Merlos, from 7 to 6.

The modifications will be effective as of January 1, 2025, in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Directors at the meeting on Wednesday, 12/11, chaired by Delfín Uranga.

WOMEN’S HANDCAPS

The AAP Board of Directors also established the modifications in the valuations of 40 players (23 increases and 17 withdrawals), which will be effective as of January 1, 2025, after what was resolved in March 2010, where an exclusive handicap for women was established only to be used in women’s tournaments.

The most important rises belong to the champion of the VIII Women’s Open presented by Caviahue, El Overo Z7 UAE, since Cande Fernández Araujo and the British Hazel Jackson ascended from 9 to 10. Meanwhile, Mía Cambiaso and Millie Hine were promoted from 8 to 9; and Azucena Uranga, from 6 to 7.
