Bolstered by an illuminated action by Adolfo Cambiaso, La Dolfina Peugeot demolished El ParaÃso 21-8 and then La Aguada Tupungato Winelands outclassed Chapa Uno Hope Funds 13-9 on the second day for the B zone of the 116th edition of the Argentine Open, played in the Palermo fields in the center of Buenos Aires.
As said, Cambiaso was decisive for his team, scoring 17 goals (just one less than AgustÃn Merlos’18 goals record in Palermo) in a match which did not result as good as expected as a result of the winners´ easy dominium of the actions. In fact, La Dolfina had no problems in overcoming El ParaÃso which despite of never giving up the fight, gave many facilities in defense.
The second game, played on the main field, resulted boring and messy as La Aguada dominated play during most of the time but despite of it failed many time against rivals gold posts and thus could not reflect it in the score.
Asked about his team´s poor performance, Miguel Novillo Astrada said that “Javier is not 100 percent (he has a cerebral tumor). Sometimes he feels tired or absent minded, so we have to do things slow or simple. Nevetheless, our rivals are a good team and we had to overcome they, no matter how. We did it and we are with chances to reach the final. That´s enough for us…†concluded the 10 goals player.
On the other side, Chapa Uno continues without finding their best play as a result of Bautista Heguy´s erratic task in the midfield and also some problems with their markings.
