Bridgehampton Polo Series

The following is a report in the NY Post

“Summer in the Hamptons might not be the same. Sources tells NY Post that the  Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo series at Two Trees Farms on Saturdays will likely not happen this year.

The lease between the Bridgehampton Polo Club, founded by Neil Hirsch and publishing powerhouse Peter Brant, and Two Trees Farms owner David Walentas ran out in September, but the club and Walentas had been discussing plans for a year-to-year lease so the event could continue. Mercedes-Benz has ended its sponsorship, and Walentas decided this week not to renew the agreement. Walentas has been trying to sell the farm since 2008, and in December, he slashed the price from $95 million to $55 million. Organizers are trying to find another field before summer, but sources say they’ll be unlikely to find one big enough for the event. “
