BRITISH POLO DAY IN TANG POLO CLUB ON 14TH SEP 2014

We were waiting for the start, people were anxious that the exquisite preparation maybe in a vain attempt, since it seemed to have a heavy rain. But nothing would quench the flame of our enthusiasm to polo. The commentators of this tournament were two professional commentators from England and Ambrosia from China, their passionate commentary made the games more enjoyable. 


The two games were played in this tournament with 4 teams taking part in.

Before the start of today’s tournament, guests enjoyed a Bike Polo match. During this little game, our commentator explained the origin and the rules of Bike Polo.

At the beginning of the second chukka of Bike Polo match, to get the right of serve, one player who was chosen of each team rushed at the ball from their goal, and then the fierce collision of the players pushed the little game to a new high. It was funny and no one hurt. This little interesting Bike Polo match ended with a score of 1-1.

The first four chukkas of the day were played between the BP and BE teams, it was a 12-goal game. In the first chukka, BP was in the lead, with ShiLai Liu the owner of Tang Polo Club scoring two goals, and Eduardo Venturino scoring one goal by an amazing quick attack. 3-0 BCC team was in the lead.


At the beginning of the second chukka the stick of a player’s broke, because of the fierce scramble for the ball.In less than 2 minutes Team British was fighting hard and evened out the score by 2 goals. But Miguel the 5-handicap player from BP prevented the opponent from catching up. Miguel Diaz got a goal when 2 minutes left, and BP got another two goals by lovely team play. BE got a goal by a quick attack before the end of the second. 6-3 BP was in the lead.


Not long after the third chukka had begun, Miguel from BP scored one goal by a beautiful amazing ‘long-distance’ hit, it was really a long way, he got the goal almost form the midfield, the commentator told the guests this goal is rare to see. And then, ShiLai Liu scored another two goals, BE scored a goal. 9-4, BP was in the lead.


In the fourth chukka, with both ShiLai Liu from BP scoringtwo goals by quick attack and BE scoring two goals,  the score at the end was BP with 11 goals, and BE with 6 goals.  

After the impressive performance by ShiLai Liu the owner of Tang Polo Club won this 12-goal game rightfully.

After a short break, another 12-goal match began. This match was played between TP and BS. In less than 2 minutes in the first chukka, Diego Gomez scored 2 goals. Nan Liu from TPC wanted to exploit the victory, he cut the ball away, and rushed at the goal rapidly, but he missed it. In a later match BS catch up the goal, 2-2, the first chukka ended.


In a later match, TPC got another 4 goals, TPC’s defense just like a“iron wall”, BS failed to break it. 5-2, TPC was in the lead of the third chukka.


In the last chukka, Nan Liu from TPC got the last goal for TPCwith a beautiful 60 yard penalty. British team got another two goals and the game was over. At the end of the fourth chukka the score stood at TP with 6 goals and BS with 4 goals.
