Lechuza Tramples Pony Express 14-7

In a 3pm contest, a flat footed Pony Express team found itself down 3-0 after the first chukker , and behind 7-1 after two periods of play.
Lechuza Caracas scored nine first half goals while holding Pony Express to a single goal from the field and a penalty conversion for a 9-2 halftime lead.
It wasn’t until the second half that Pony Express appeared to wake up, matching Lechuza goal for goal for the final three chukkers.
Lechuza patron Victor Vargas set the pace for his teammates with four goals from the field. Ten-goaler Juan Martin Nero scored six ties and Sapo Caset added four goals in the win.
Nick Roldan scored six goals for Pony Express with Matias Magrini accounting for a single goal.
The 14-7 Lechuza win propels them into Sunday’s 3pm final of the 2009 C. V. Whitney Cup against Audi.
