Thursday 20th February saw 4 teams play the Subsidiary Semi Finals of the C.V Whitney Cup at the National Polo Center.
Match 1:
Park Place won the first Subsidiary Semi Final 12-6 against Clearwater, taking their place in Sunday’s Subsidiary Final. A strong first half from Park Place kept Clearwater’s scoring opportunities low and they were able to pull away 5-2 going into the second half. They kept up the pace, Clearwater giving them plenty of opportunities from the penalty line (5 of 8 they scored) and despite challenges from Clearwater in the last 2 chukkas, they earned a convincing win to push them through to the Sub Final.

Match 2:
The Dutta Corp won the second Subsidiary Semi Final of the C.V. Whitney Cup on Thursday 20th February, winning 9-7 against La Fe Eastern Hay at the National Polo Center.
An exciting match, the lead changed consistently throughout the first half as La Fe Eastern Hay started strong but The Dutta Corp caught up with an amazing 4 goal second chukka. Each chukka seemed to be one-sided as the advantage and possession swapped between the sides but the second half started with The Dutta Corp scoring 3 goals while La Fe were unable to find the posts and from there it seemed Dutta Corp had found their stride and were able to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
They will face Park Place in Sunday’s Subsidiary Final.
