SAN ROQUE, Wednesday, August 28, 2024 – Two great semi-finals this Wednesday in a day that left Calatagan and ATL Marine & Energy in the final of the
Turkish Airlines Gold Cup. Both teams will seek to win this title for the first time in their
history.
In the first round, Calatagan beat Sainte Mesme by 12 to 11, but had to sweat and
to achieve victory, as went to extra chukker and after a great
Sainte Mesme’s team, which was trailing 11-8 in the middle of the sixth chukker and
who was able to score 3 consecutive goals to force extra time. Then, Antonio Heguy scored the golden goal
in favor of Calatagan.
In the second semi-final, ATL Marine & Energy was able to overcome the very good start to the match they had
Kazak’s team and from the third chukker onwards they were finding their best version, with good
plays, good driving, good goals and, above all, forcefulness in every chance they were given
Presented. To talk about one figure above the rest would be unfair, since all his players
scored at least 2 goals, but it is also worth highlighting the great performance that Bartolomé had
Castagnola, showing once again why he has a 10-goal handicap.
The 53rd Andalusia International Polo Tournament takes place between the 3 playing fields of Ayala Polo
Club and the 4 that Ayala owns Los Pinos Headquarters, and is disputed in 3 polo categories: High Handicap
(20-22 Goals), Medium Handicap (12-14 Goals) and Low Handicap (6-8 Goals).
