remains undefeated in Venezuelan Gold Cup

Caracas Polo (Victor Vargas, Toto Collardin, Juan Brane and
Pablo Jauretche) won their second straight game in the 26-goal Gold Cup in
Venezuela this afternoon by defeating Agualinda (Sebastian Harriot, Agustin
Canale, Martin Espain and Juan Harriot) 10-6.
The victory is Caracas Polo’s second of the tournament,
having defeated Tucacas (Facundo Castagnola, Santiago Cernadas, Toto Urturi and
Marcelo Frayssinet) 7-5 in the tournament opener. Agualinda knocked off Tucacas 7-6 in the
second match of the Gold Cup, handing Tucacas its second loss of the tournament
and eliminating it from the competition.
Agualinda, with a 1-1 record, has earned a rematch with
Caracas Polo and will face them in the finals on Wednesday, October 2 for the
championship.
High goal action will resume at the Caracas Polo Club on
Friday, September 27the with six teams playing in three separate matches in
22-goal competition.
The finals of the 22-goal god Cup will conclude with an
October 5th final.
