Habtoor Polo wins and completes the semifinals of the Dubai Challenge Cup 2016
Habtoor Polo defeated Bin Drai by 6 goals to 5 and achieved the remaining spot in the semifinals of the Dubai Challenge Cup 2016, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and part of Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series.
Patron Mohammed Al Habtoor ́s team fought hard this afternoon against a tough opponent to qualify for the next stage.
Victory against Bin Drai gives Habtoor Polo the first place in the ranking and will face Zedan in the semifinals next tuesday at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort.
Bin Drai will play against UAE Polo to complete the draw.
In today ́s match Guillermo Cuitiño was the top scorer of the game, and the winning team, with 4 goals while Matías Torres Zavaleta scored 3 goals for Bin Drai.

In the first match of the day at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort, Edrees Polo defeated Wolves by 9 goals to 6.
Juan Ruíz Guiñazú was the top scorer of the match and the winning team with 4 goals and Diego Araya scored also 4 goals for Wolves Polo.
Both teams will play the Subsidiary Final next Friday 1st April.

The Dubai Challenge Cup will continue next tuesday at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort with the semifinals of the tournament starting at 2,30 pm with UAE Polo vs Bin Drai and Habtoor Polo against Zedan.

Mohammed Al Habtoor, founded the Dubai Gold Cup Series in 2009. Since then it has grown in tandem with the city of Dubai. Today it is one of the highest handicap tournament in the Middle East and the fourth largest of its kind after Argentina, the US and the UK. The Gold Cup Series is split into two tournaments: the McLaren Silver Cup and the Julius Baer Gold Cup and played under the banner of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA). It attracts polo stars from around the world, VIPs, society figures as well as senior corporate executives from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This year in 2016, The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series reached to have a number of 5 tournaments under its umbrella (Silver Cup, Polo Masters Cup, Gold Cup, Dubai Challenge Cup and Dubai Cup).
