ERG Challenges Lucchese Tomorrow in the 2014 USPA Lucchese Silver Cup

Santa Barbara sets the scene for Pacific Coast’s second National 20-goal event

The Houston-based Energy Reserves Group (ERG) polo team is set to take on Lucchese in tomorrow’s final of the 2014 USPA Lucchese Silver Cup at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in Carpinteria, Calif. The final is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. PST. On Friday, ERG defeated FMB 11-7 to secure their spot and set the stage for a dramatic final on Sunday against Lucchese, the team they edged a week ago, 13-12.

The USPA Silver Cup has been played since 1974, and showcases some of the best players and horses in the world. The historic tournament has called the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club home for over 20 years. This national USPA tournament is the third leg of the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club’s high-goal season, which concludes with the USPA Bombardier Pacific Coast Open, August 14-31, 2014.
