Countdown Begins for the 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament Presented by Palm Beach County Human Rights Council |
The Gay Polo League (GPL) is counting down the days to their most anticipated event of the year and the wait is nearly over! The 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament presented by the Palm Beach Human Rights Council, is only days away! The window to purchase a tailgate or VIP table closes on Monday, April 3. After that date, only General Admission tickets will be available.
The elegant GPL Polotini Party will kick off the weekend poolside at The Wanderers Club on Friday, April 7. Hosted by Ms. Patricia Quick, guests will enjoy wonderful cuisine, a hosted bar, music and connecting with old and new friends at this exclusive club.
The four teams competing are:
Goshen Hill: Alex Green, Kenny Mayer, Tony Natale and polo professional Joey Casey.
Seminole Casino Coconut Creek: Jed Pearsall, Ashley MacKenzie, Rafik Boughadoui and polo professional Tiffany Busch. Cedar Crest: Stacie Simpkins, Mark Bennett, Severence MacLaughlin and polo professional Andrés Laplacette. RSM US LLP: Daniel Bain, Jean Marc Herrouin, Chip McKenney and polo professional Charlie Muldoon. In addition to thrilling polo matches, guests will witness inventive and unique field-side tailgates in the world of polo! The visual impact of the creative tailgates add another layer of fun to the GPL Tournament. With more tailgates than ever before, competition will be the fiercest it’s ever been, as participants compete for the honor of Best In Show and other awards.
Each tailgate package includes six (6) general admission tickets, a 10×10 tent and one designated parking spot field side.
There is also the opportunity for guests to enjoy the annual tournament in the finest fashion, by becoming a VIP table holder! Cherry Knoll Farm is sponsoring the premier location to watch this one-of-a-kind event for the second consecutive year, the Cherry Knoll Farm VIP Tent.
With your purchase of a VIP table, you’ll receive premium seating on the mid-field line for six (6) with table-side service, an open bar, delectable gourmet selections and VIP parking. The GPL Sunday Brunch on April 9 will close out the fabulous weekend. Attendees will enjoy the legendary brunch buffet at the members-only Mallet Grill. In addition to the wonderful brunch offerings and open bar, attendees will watch the finest polo in the world as the U.S. Open Polo Championship is played at the legendary stadium at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.
GPL is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and is thrilled to host the annual charity event focusing on raising awareness and funds to help put an end to the homelessness crisis among the LGBTQ youth and to create scholarships for LGBTQ youth seeking a higher education.
