Gold Cup Quarter Finals Teams revealed

This year’s Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Quarter Finals take place on Saturday and Sunday at Cowdray Park Polo Club.
The first match will be between Les Lions II and Loro Piana on Saturday at 3pm. On Sunday there are three matches: at 12.30pm Sumaya will face Talandracas. At 3pm La Bamba De Areco will play Azzurra and at 5pm Dubai will take on Lechuza Caracas.
Interestingly, Sumaya took on and beat Talandracas yesterday at Cowdray in the last of the league matches. Because both teams were guaranteed to go through they treated the match as more of a practise. It was only in the fifth chukka that Sumaya went ahead for the first time, leading Talandracas 9 – 7. In the end a goal by Guillermo Terrera brought them to within a goal of Sumaya right on the bell. The two teams will face each other in their quarter final on Sunday.
Dubai and Azzurra were also both through to the quarters and cruised their match at Dubai’s ground. Dubai eventually won 9 – 8.
