La Magdeleine won against Marques de Riscal 2

La Magdeleine won against Marques de Riscal 3
A consistent performance from Marques de Riscal wasn’t enough to stem the second half prowess of La Magdeleine, who at two goals down going into halftime took on their coach’s wise words and came out swinging in the second half, scoring four goals on the bounce that put them into the lead for the first time in the game. Building on this chukka they remained strong and an inpenetrable defence coupled with Hero del Carril’s impressive attacking style of play saw them take their first win of the tournament at 10 goals to 7 in front of the impressive crowds gathered at Cowdray for the Midhurst Town Cup.

Match 2

Dubai Polo Team won against King Power by a score 2Dubai Polo Team won against King Power by a score 3

This match up was a showcase of experience vs youth with the powerful duo of polo stalwarts Pablo MacDonough and Nico Pieres taking on the young and fiery Jeta Castagnola, Antonio Heguy and Beltran laurel all who have proven this season to be powerhouses in their own right.

An early lead from chukka 2 was enough to leave King Power trailing and fighting to regain possession of the ball but the speed and agility of the younger side and their exquisite team combination plays where undeniable. The chukka scores remained reasonably even throughout, King Power replying and not allowing Dubai out of their sights but Jeta’s magic with the ball and young Laurel playing an integral role in the team was enough to seal them their second win of the tournament.
