HPA ANNOUNCE YOUNG ENGLAND AND YOUNG COMMENWEALTH TEAMS

FOR AUDI INTERNATIONAL DAY

 

The Hurlingham Polo Association has announced the Hurlingham and Prince of Wales Teams that will play for the Diamond Jubilee Trophy on Sunday 28th July at Guards Polo Club. The match will be the curtain raiser for the much anticipated Audi International, between England and the U.S.A who will be playing for the historic Westchester Cup.

 

The Hurlingham team, sponsored by How to Spend It, will be represented by a Young England quartet captained by Max Charlton playing in the number three position. He will be supported by Ollie Cudmore at one and George Meyrick at two with Richard Le Poer completing the team at back.

 

The Young Commonwealth team, who are sponsored by Audi, will play in the famous Prince of Wales’ colours and will be captained by the experienced Robbie Archibald playing at number three. He will be joined by fellow Australian Alec White at number 1 and to complete the team are young South Africans Jean du Plessis and Tom de Bruin playing at two and four respectively.

 

‘The morning match is always very competitive, this year even more so with a very strong Commonwealth side. With such talented players in both teams it is guaranteed to be a fast and exciting match’, commented David Woodd.
