Goodman involved in fatal accident

International Polo Club founder John Goodman was treated for minor injuries
at the Wellington Regional Medical Center and another driver was killed as the

result of an accident that took place Friday morning in Wellington, Florida, less

than a mile from the polo grounds.

Just after 1 am, 46-year-old Goodman was driving a 2007 Bentley GTC south on

130th Avenue South in Wellington and ran a stop sign at Lake Worth Road, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff¹s Office homicide investigator¹s report.

The Bentley struck the passenger side of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata driven by
23-year-old Scott Patrick Wilson.  The force of the collision drove the Hyundai

Across the road and overturned it into a nearby canal, the report said.

Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene and Goodman was taken to Wellington

Regional Medical Center,  with minor injuries.

John Wash, president of club operations for the International Polo Club,
confirmed that Goodman was involved in the crash and said he had a few
injuries but was otherwise alright. He said the club did not have any
comment on the incident at this time because it was still gathering
information.
