Lawyers Polo is underway on the pitches of Thailand
By Victoria Elsbury-Legg
Lawyers from around the world have gathered in Bangkok this week and it’s not just ‘Law’ that they all have in common, but also playing polo with great sportsmanship and enjoying evenings networking in different international pitch side city locations. Started six years ago by lawyers, and of course polo players, Eduardo Bérèterbide and Justin Fogarty, this March Lawyers Polo is visiting Bangkok for the first time. With matches being hosted at the VR Sports Club, the Thailand Polo Association welcomed Lawyers Polo to Bangkok on Saturday 16th March, when a cocktail party was held at the Peninsula Bangkok to open this inaugural event.
Six teams of polo playing lawyers are competing in the tournament:
King Power: Khun Tal Raksriaksorn / Ploy Bhinsaeng / Satid Wongkras / Nuttadhith Sila-Amornsak
Regent: Eduardo Bereterbide / Joachim Feller / Dato Zekri / Piero Dillier
Stella Artois: Jacinto Peralta Ramos / Rodrigo Castro / Elspeth Talbot-Rice / Thomas Rinderknecht
Cortijo: Luis Nieto / Joseph Fitzsimons / Anil Abraham / Miguel Caetano
The Peninsula: Pablo Guinazu / Alain Clery / Dinyar Madon / Daniel Hurstel
Kerres: Jose Frias / Martin Magal / Gerry Gan / Christoph Kerres
