Name Change for Englinsh High Goal Team

NAME CHANGE FOR ENGLISH HIGH GOAL TEAM

Longdole Polo Club has announced that its successful Lovelocks high goal polo team will play under the ‘El Remanso’ name for the 2009 high goal season.

Established 5 years ago following the success of Longdole Polo Club, El Remanso is home to its Argentine interests including an active breeding programme, training facilities and luxury accommodation for bespoke polo experiences.

In addition to the new name, the team will see two changes to its line up for the 2009 season, with George Hanbury (1 goals) replacing his brother Charlie, and South African Tom De Bruin (4 goals) replacing Mario Gomez. They join Argentine Lola Castagnola (9 goals) and Chilean, Jaimie Huidobro (8 goals).

The team who have been training in Argentina over the winter will be looking to go all the way, after their narrow defeat in last years Warwickshire Cup final at Cirencester and defeat by Ellerston in the quarter finals of the Queens Cup having beaten them in the group stages.

Set in 1000 acres, in the heart of the polo playing region 60 miles south west of Buenos Aires, El Remanso provides the perfect opportunity for guests to learn polo or perfect their game.  With three world class pitches, beautifully furnished rooms and lodges, El Remanso is the perfect polo destination.
