According to a report on the Palm Beach Daily News by Michelle Dargan, the owners of the 21 polo ponies that died in Wellington last year from a botched batch of medication have joined in a lawsuit with the insurer of the horses, asking for more than $4 million from the pharmacy that admitted mixing the cocktail.
Quorum Management Co., which owned 12 of the horses, has joined in a suit with polo players Juan Martin Nero, Guillermo Caset and Nicolas Espain against the Ocala-based Franck’s Pharmacy. Nero owned five of the dead horses; Caset and Espain owned two each.
