Polo Masters Cup
Mahra defetead Habtoor by 7 goals to 5 in the second day of action for the Polo Masters Cup held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.
The Al Habtoor ́s brothers match, Mohammed patron of Habtoor Polo and Rashid patron of Mahra, was very exciting.
Habtoor made a better start taking the lead by 2 goals to 1 at the end of the first chukka but Mahra had a quick reaction in the following chukka to turn the scoreboard in their favor.
From the third chukka onwards team led by Alejandro Novillo Astrada, with Daniel Gariador playing at a great level, achieved a two goal gap that, despite Habtoor efforts, was the clue for the final result in their favor.
Match Progression: Mahra: 1-2/ 4-3/ 6-4/ 7-5
The tournament will continue tomorrow with Bin Drai playing against Edrees from 4.30 pm at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club
Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, launched The Polo Masters Cup, a new medium goal tournament with teams seven teams taking part.
The tournament is up to 14 goals handicap and will be held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club from Monday 8th February to Monday 15th February 2016.
