Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo

The world’s first organised desert polo tournament, will return to AlUla from 17-18 January 2025 and promises to be a celebration of top-class sport, culture and equestrian heritage.

Organised by The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) in partnership with the Saudi Polo Federation (SPF), Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo 2025 will be staged at AlFursan Equestrian Village within the stunning surroundings of the ancient oasis city.

Richard Mille has once again been confirmed as the title sponsor of the event, underscoring the brand’s commitment to excellence in sports and events, and reinforcing its partnership with this one-of-a-kind polo tournament.

The two-day event showcases a blend of world-class polo, history, heritage, and glamour, making it an unmissable occasion on Saudi Arabia’s sports and social calendar.

Some of the greatest players in global polo will be making their way to AlUla for the tournament, including Adolfo Cambiaso, the Argentinian widely regarded as the finest polo player of all time and the founder and captain of La Dolfina Polo Team.

Cambiaso will be joined in AlUla by his son Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso and his daughter Mia Cambiaso. Other notable players include Nacho Figueras – dubbed the “David Beckham of polo” – and Pablo Mac Donough. More professional female players will again participate having competed for the first time at the 2024 tournament.

Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo 2025 will feature six teams of three players, comprising one professional, one international patron, and one dignitary. Two days of action-packed matches will see the teams battle for the prestigious Desert Polo trophy.

Since making its debut in 2020, Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo has become an unmissable highlight in Saudi Arabia’s sports and social scene, while reinforcing AlUla as an international polo destination. The 2025 event will be no different and is set to welcome royals, celebrities, and polo fans to AlFursan Equestrian Village to experience a riveting mix of sport, culture, and entertainment.

In addition to world-class polo, Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo 2025 is delivering fun for the entire family. A Kids Zone with interactive games and educational activities will keep children entertained, while traditional and contemporary musical performances are set to create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event. A diverse selection of food and beverages will include creatively crafted mocktails by professional mixologists.

Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo is one of the highlights of the AlUla Moments 2024/25 calendar of events and festivals.
