Royal Salute loses in overtime to Dubai
After another gruelling encounter in the 22 goal Copa de Plata in Sotogrande, the Royal Salute Scotch Whisky team was eliminated today in an overtime loss to Adolfo Cambiaso’s Dubai Polo Team. Royal Salute having led almost all the game could not hold on to the lead.
Dubai made two goals within the last minutes of the sixth Chukka, to take the game to overtime. Royal Salute had a chance to win the game after a great set play, but it was not to be, a cruel rebound left Cambiaso counterattacking alone. A last ditch defensive backhand from Jaime Huidobro resulted in a corner, which Dubai converted to secure their place in the play offs. Royal Salute have improved game by game and now will recharge the battery for the Copa de Oro.
