Ayala remains unbeatable in the Maserati Silver Cup
Ayala Polo Team, winner of the Royal Bliss Bronze Cup, remains unbeatable also in the Maserati Silver Cup after winning today’s match against Brunei Polo Team by 7 goals to 5. Philippine patron Iñigo Zobel team remains unbeaten in the 46th International Polo Tournament and made it already in to the semifinals of the Maserati Silver Cup.
Today’s match against Brunei was very tough, with very little difference, in the game and the score, between both teams. The Maserati Silver Cup will resume tomorrow with the last qualifying match between La Indiana and Dos Lunas A & G Banca Privada. This match will be held from 7 pm at Los Pinos field 4.
Aerolíneas Argentinas Medium Goal Silver Cup
Equus Polo Team, Twenty 20, Sainte Mesme and Brunei Polo Team qualified for the semifinals of the Aerolineas Argentinas Silver Cup after the matches held today for the last qualifying date.
With Brunei, Equus and Sainte Mesme in the next stage, attention was focused on the match held by Twenty 20 and Royal Salute to know who will be the last team to take the remaining place in the semfinals.
Twenty 20 defeated Royal Salute by 9 goals to 7 in a great game and finally made it to the next stage. Equus defeated Marques de Riscal by 11 goals to 9 in the first match of the day. The semifinals, to be played next Wednesday 9th August will be the following: Equus vs Sainte Mesme and Brunei against Twenty 20.
Isolas 1892 Silver Cup
The last qualifying date of the Isolas 1892 Low Goal Silver Cup will be held tomorrow.
In the morning, at Puente de Hierro field 3, Don Carlos will face Ghabilian Guards from 11 am followed by La Clarita vs Sardañola. By the afternoon, at Los Pinos field 1, La Mangosta will play against unbeaten FCT Sotovila.
In this 46th edition of the Tournament more than 21 teams are taking part of the competition, with a large number of elite players, including four of the top 10 players in world polo ranking: Facundo Pieres, who will play with Ayala Polo Team; Juan Martín Nero (Lechuza Caracas) and Pablo MacDonough, who will stand up for Brunei and Dubai Polo Teams, and the Uruguayan David Stirling (Lechuza). Besides polo matches, attendance, that´s free during almost all the season matches, has many leisure activities available: a varied gastronomy, Shopping Village, children’s area, bars, After Polo night parties.
