Sussex kids get high…!

SUSSEX KIDS GET HIGH…!

If you want to get your kids off the play station and high on pure adrenalin – introduce them to Pony Club polo!

Sussex Polo Club hosts the Old Surrey and Burstow Pony Club which has produced three of the UK’s winning Junior polo teams for the last three years.  More good news for the boys is that you don’t need to wear jodhpurs – just white jeans!

On Sunday 9 August, the Pony Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary of polo at Cowdray Park with the Old Surrey & Burstow Handley Cross team taking the ‘silver’ for first place.  The team comprised of local residents (L to R) Alice Walsh, Terence Lent, Harry Hickmet and Emily Collins all aged between 11 and 13 years old.  All of the Pony Club teams from across the UK travel across the country to play the preliminary rounds which culminate in the finals on the hallowed “Lawns 1” at Cowdray Park Polo Club.

If you would like to see some of the winning Pony Club players in action, join us at the Terence Lent Trophy which is a Family Fun Day in support of adoption on Sunday 30 August at Sussex Polo Club.  Entry is free to all includes a free giant bouncy castle AND Bucking Bronco!  Polo starts at noon.

For more information about the club, lessons (for riders and non-riders) and gift vouchers browse www.sussexpolo.co.uk or call the office on 01342 714920 for a free brochure.
