The premier of the Legacy Pollo Cup 2014

The first weekend of August also featured another first at the Legacy Polo Club in Switzerland when eight international teams came together to compete in the premiere of the Legacy Pollo Cup. With roast chicken and beer on the menu this was an event to bring people from around the world together in a relaxed setting with an unbelievably scenic backdrop at a polo tournament being played for the first time in the Aargau region.
On the pitch players from Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and Argentina joined together to give the enthusiastic crowd of almost a thousand, great on field low-goal entertainment, with an enlightening commentary from Jan-Erik Fran, whilst Tony Ramirez captured many photographic memories of a fantastic tournament.
Sunday dawned with Kneuss and Bentley teams with two wins to their name and a place in the final.
The two teams were preceded onto the pitch by the sounds of a ‘Bläch u Blasbaug’ band as they prepared to do battle to be pronounced the first ever winners of Legacy Pollo Cup. Great play from two goal Argentinean professional Walter Cortez almost helped to secure a victory for team Bentley (Carlos Sprüngli , Markus Oggenfuss , Stefan Locher), but it was to be Kneuss (Manu López , Coast Sullenger , Cristiano Migliorini, and Michael Herzog ) who were to lift up the cup at the end of the day with a final scoreboard reading of 4 -3.5.
Despite matches being punctuated by some rain, sunshine managed to sparkle on the prize giving at the end of the inaugural Legacy Pollo Cup tournament which, judging by the smiles, everyone had greatly enjoyed.
