SAN JORGE OPEN WON BY LA FE

With a large audience that came to court 2 in Palermo, the final of the 55th Open of the San Jorge Military Equestrian Club was played on Saturday 7/9, for the Duke of Edinburgh Trophy. The title corresponded to the La Fe team, which with 9 goals from Camilo Castagnola, beat the La Dolfina 90210 team by a tight 11 to 10.

In a match that will go down in history, as it was the first of this tournament in which two women played and in which Sarah Magness was the first and -so far- only to score a goal, La Fe achieved a very tight victory thanks to the great performance of Jeta Castagnola, who scored three consecutive goals in the final chukker -one of them 25 seconds before the final bell-. to achieve an agonizing victory against the team in which his uncle Adolfito and his cousins Poroto and Mía played.

Great victory for La Fe and first title in this tournament for its four members: Jeta, Roby Bilbao, Blas Bensadón and Louis Devaleix! Congratulations!

In this way, the Official Spring Season 2024 of the Argentine Polo Association began, in which dozens of tournaments of all categories will be played.
