At the end of matchday 8 of the 131st HSBC Argentine Polo Open, on Saturday 11/23 on field 1 in Palermo, the defending champion of the tournament, La Natividad, faced Indios Chapaleufú Vista Energy, one of the surprises of the season.
The Castagnola brothers’ team won by 15 to 10, and with three wins in as many presentations, they are first in Zone A and will have to face La Hache Polo Team in a “semifinal”, the only team that can take their place in the grand final of the tournament. In addition, the green-and-white team won the Hublot Cup that was at stake in the match.
Reaching the final day of qualifying undefeated cost La Natividad a lot, a team that although they won the match fairly, they were not fine in the tackling and finishing. However, with Facu Pieres very effective in the execution of free-kicks and some flashes of Jeta Castagnola, they took the victory against the tough team of the Heguy cousins -they were left without chances to play the final-, who again left a great image.
